The people getting up at 4am. The ones with callused hands and dirty boots. The single parent running two jobs. The mechanic who never stops learning. The tradesperson who built someone else’s dream and is now building their own. These people exist everywhere — and for a long time, the apparel industry looked right past them.

What “Built Not Born” Really Means

We live in a world that loves origin stories about gifted people. The prodigy. The natural. The one who was just born with it. That narrative is everywhere — and it lets everyone else off the hook.

“Built Not Born” pushes back on that. Hard.

The people we make gear for didn’t get handed anything. They built their work ethic rep by rep, shift by shift, decision by decision. They didn’t wake up tough — they worked to get there. That’s the whole point. You aren’t born a doer. You build yourself into one.
